Homemade Lemon & Garlic Hummus

File_000 (3).jpeg

Hummus is a family favorite in our house! My picky eater, anti-vegetable son will even dip veggies into this homemade hummus & gobble it up! A lot of store-bought hummus ingredients include additives & oils that are inflammatory fats, so I hope you’ll try this healthy, simple, & delicious hummus!

1/4 c. tahini

1/4 c. fresh lemon juice (2 medium lemons)

2 tbsp. avocado oil

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 tsp. sea salt

1/2 tsp. cumin

1 15 oz. can organic chickpeas, rinsed (reserve liquid)

3-4 tbsp. reserved chickpea liquid

paprika, for serving

Make It

1. Add tahini & lemon juice to a food processor, process 2 minutes

2. Add avocado oil, garlic, sea salt, & cumin, process 1 minute

3. Add 1/2 the can of chickpeas, process until combined

4. Add the other 1/2, process until well combined

5. Slowly add in the reserved liquid until you reach your desired consistency

*Store covered in refrigerator

Have a wonderful weekend!
